Stuart Sliter

My name is Stuart Johnson Sliter. Both my maternal and paternal grandparents came to Douglas to work in the Treadwell mines. My mom was Roberta Fraser Johnson and my dad was Leonard Johnson. They were both born in Douglas, and I was born in Juneau in St. Ann’s Hospital in 1939. I have an older brother who lives in Douglas, so we haven’t wandered far.

“I’m a Douglas girl.”
