I’m Nove Barril-Duncan. I came to Alaska, to Juneau, in 1975. It was November. It was winter then so there was snow, and it was the first time I ever saw snow. With all the white, fluffy snow… it looked like heaven. I came here with my mom, Julia Carrillo, and my brothers Morris and Ed, to be with my dad, Alex Carrillo Sr., and my brothers Alex Jr. and Joely and my sister Maxme, who were already here.
